“Sunday Night Football” has been serving as the perfect nightcap to a full day of NFL action since 1987.
The first Sunday night clash of the 2024 regular season features the Detroit Lions hosting the Los Angeles Rams in a rematch of the NFC wild-card game. In it, the Lions won their first playoff game in 32 years to wipe out the league’s longest postseason victory drought.
The Chicago Bears face the Houston Texans in a Week 2 matchup that pits the 2024 No. 1 overall pick in Bears QB Caleb Williams vs. the 2023 offensive rookie of the year in Texans QB C.J. Stroud.
