Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 13 game

Even after losing four straight games, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6) are very much alive in the playoff hunt, and they can get a boost when they visit the Carolina Panthers (3-8).

The return of Mike Evans plus playing the horrid New York Giants is the perfect recipe any team needs to get back on the winning track, and that’s the formula the Buccaneers used to get their first win in more than a month. The offense looked like what it was supposed to be, and that could be trouble for teams going against Tampa Bay.

They gave it their all, but Carolina couldn’t pull off the major upset of the Kansas City Chiefs as the defending champions again got by with a close victory. It’s not a result to be happy about, but the Panthers have played good football recently and are making strides from the tough start.

Lorenzo Reyes: Buccaneers 23, Panthers 21

The Panthers have been much better, as Bryce Young is getting Carolina to move the ball. Tampa Bay is tough to defend, especially now that Mike Evans is back. Still, Tampa’s defense is a bit of a question, so I can see Carolina covering.

Tyler Dragon: Buccaneers 25, Panthers 21

The demise of Bryce Young in Carolina was premature. Young is coming off his best game of the season, albeit in a loss. Young and the Panthers are playing better football. They deserve credit. With that all being said, the Bucs should win this contest.

Richard Morin: Buccaneers 26, Panthers 22

Tampa Bay is still alive in the NFC South race and notches an important win. However, I like the Panthers to cover.

Jordan Mendoza: Buccaneers 26, Panthers 20

Tampa Bay’s offense might be able to fly going against a team that can’t stop the run and isn’t that great at defending the pass. However, the Panthers do enough to make the game interesting and make the Buccaneers work for the win.
