What should I look for in a land based casino?
American land-based casinos come in a wide variety of flavors, but some stand out more than others. Certainly, you should look at the variety of games on offer – make sure at a minimum they have slots, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, video poker and craps – as well as the comps (or complimentary items) being offered by your chosen US casino. Do try to avoid getting taken in by the glitz and glamour of many of the big casinos in the USA (although having a nice environment to gamble in certainly does help). Excitement and energy in the atmosphere is important, as you want to feel that thrill when you win. You might also look for American casinos that offer shows or fine dining, as these are great distractions to celebrate a win with, or commiserate after a loss.
