There are four race meetings in the UK on Wednesday. Musselburgh (1.50-5.00pm) and Wincanton (2.10-5.20) stage National Hunt cards, Lingfield (2.00-5.10), and Kempton (4.55-8.30) offer a double bill of all-weather Flat action.
Wednesday’s nap is a chaser from Paul Nicholls yard who is bidding for his third straight success in a seven-runner contest at Wincanton.

Horse racing tips: Wincanton 3.45
CAP DU MATHAN comes into this 2m 4f handicap chase bidding to complete a hat-trick. He has had back-to-back wins at Taunton (2m, soft) and Exeter (2m 3f, good), the latter by 17 lengths.
The front-running chaser is likely to set the pace again here and if he jumps as well as he has been doing this year, it will put pressure on his rivals. His latest handicap mark is just 4lb higher than when he scored at Taunton two runs ago so it remains workable.
Paul Nicholls’ runner is stepping up in trip but the extra distance will not be a problem for him. He will enjoy the quick conditions and he remains open to further improvement over fences.
Selection: Cap Du Mathan @ SP with Paddy Power
Horse racing tips: Musselburgh 2.20
HOLD ONTO THE LINE was successful on his chasing debut in November at Musselburgh (2m 4½f, good to soft). That was his first outing following wind surgery and it was a smart performance as he won by a short head.
James Ewart’s runner finished last season with two victories over hurdles here. He took advantage of his handicap mark in both of those races, settling much better than he had done on previous outings, which obviously helped him at the business end of those contests.
November’s course-and-distance success will give his connections a lot of optimism about his future over fences. He took on a field of experienced chasers and got the better of them, while the second has since franked the form with an 11-length victory here. Hold Onto The Line has just three rivals to beat this time and he looks to have an excellent chance of defying his 7lb rise in the ratings.

Horse racing tips: Kempton 4.55
After a disappointing 12 months on the track, ASSEMBLED has fallen to a career-low mark of 55 for this Class 6 handicap over a mile. The son of Iffraaj had his first run since April at Wolverhampton 16 days ago, coming home down the field over 1m1½f.
This will be his second appearance since he switched stables to join Mark Rimell last month and, with help from the handicapper, his trainer will be hoping the seven-year-old gelding can find something close to his best again. His sole all-weather win came over track and trip, so returning here may help.
This race will not take much winning, so from a good inside draw, and with the excellent David Probert in the saddle, he may be able to get himself in the winner’s enclosure again at this course.
Selection: Assembled @ SP with Paddy Power
