Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 13 game

The Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings have been two of the biggest shocks of the NFL season. Both teams were expected to be bottom-dwellers in their divisions. However, now 12 weeks into the NFL season, both teams are still contending for their division titles.

Unfortunately, one of these teams is going to take a massive hit this Sunday. The Vikings are one game back of the Detroit Lions, who have won nine straight games. Any loss for Minnesota would almost assuredly give the NFC North to Detroit.

As for Arizona, their entire division currently sits within one game of one another. Every loss could drag the Cardinals from the top of the NFC West to the very bottom at the snap of a finger. Both teams have a lot to play for.

Here are our experts’ predictions for this Week 13 showdown.

Lorenzo Reyes: Vikings 25, Cardinals 18

Minnesota, perhaps quietly, has been stacking quality wins and has been outperforming the spreads it faces. Brian Flores continues to have a diverse defense that disguises pressure. Kyler Murray does present a challenge, but last week’s loss against the Seahawks showed the key is keeping him contained in the pocket.

Tyler Dragon: Vikings 26, Cardinals 24

Arizona had its four-game win streak end last week. Things won’t get any easier on the road in Minnesota. Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson combined for 15 catches 276 yards and a touchdown last week. The Cardinals won’t be able to contain Addison, Hockenson, and of course, Justin Jefferson.

Richard Morin: Vikings 30, Cardinals 21

The Cardinals have a prime opportunity to win the NFC West, but the Vikings have been tough customers this season and have fared better than many thought when rookie JJ McCarthy went down for the season. I’ll take Minnesota and the points here.

Jordan Mendoza: Vikings 23, Cardinals 22

Minnesota should not take Arizona lightly. The Cardinals have shown they are capable of sneaking up against teams, but the Vikings present too many options on offense for Arizona to get a road victory.
